OUR HISTORY
Fábrica María is located on the banks of the river Atoyac, on the borders of the old ranches “La Ladrillera” and “Moratilla”. At one side of the current Mexico-Puebla highway, just at the first entrance to the “Angelopolis” coming from Mexico City.
The “Constancia Mexicana”, the first textile company in Latin America, founded by the legendary Don Esteban De Antuñano, is the one that initiates this important textile tradition of the region. Neighbors “La Constancia” and “La María”, both on either side of the Mexico-Puebla highway, located at the entrance to “Ciudad De Los Angeles”, it seems that their old and robust structures, with their immense chimneys, were those that safeguard this legendary sector.
MORE THAN A CENTURY OF TEXTILE QUALITY
In La María, as in many other ancient buildings, there are shocking legends that speak from treasures, apparitions and spirits, all of them with good energy. This causes the Factory to breathe an atmosphere of magic and mysticism, which invades its workers and infects those who visit it.
La María, has a beautiful architecture characteristic of the haciendas of the Porfiriato, and in its interiors has created a whole history composed of a large number of Mexican workers, who have left their greatest performance, producing since always, fabric of the highest quality, proudly manufactured Mexican.
The current “Fábrica María” has never stopped evolving, which is why it remains an important source of work.
The María’s “magic” has made this important company have endured immense adversities in its history of more than 100 years, and even in difficult times, plans and projects have always been to improve and be at the forefront of the industry.

Outside Fábrica Maria we have our own wastewater treatment plant, this helps us to eliminate solids, chemicals, pollutants, restore oxygen so that it can be safely returned to our environment.
